Time Flies, 2022
ProjectArt Teaching Residency Final Exhibition
Inkjet Print
2 sizes: 8 x 11 in. and 18 x 24 in.

I’ve always been drawn to textile work in my artistic practice, as they serve as record-keepers—like books—preserving culture, lineage, and community. Time Flies explores the decorative aspects of quilts, carpets, and tapestries through natural elements like plants, flowers, and insects. I wanted to materialize and document some of the themes, techniques, and materials I explored with my students this past year.
