Samhita Kamisetty is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York, with roots in Portland, Oregon, and Bangalore, India.
Her multidisciplinary practice spans illustration, natural dyeing, ceramics, and design. She explores materiality, memory, and function through forms drawn from ritual and everyday life. Her work draws on family archives and culturally specific materials to reflect on tradition and transformation. Her work has been exhibited in New York, New Delhi, Berlin, Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Miami, and Mexico City.
As an extension of her practice, Samhita produces and teaches natural dye workshops centered on bundle dyeing, using botanicals to create unique textile pieces. She has led workshops in collaboration with brands, home goods boutiques, and peer-led community spaces in New York and Bangalore.
She holds a BFA in Studio Art and Communications from New York University.
